Drawing leaves with Montessori Botany cabinet

We had a great chance to borrow Botany cabinet from our Montessori friends. Soon after tracing the leaves, we went outside collecting different shapes of leaves. Then I gave her a large sheet of paper and she traced them. She observed vein patterning and tried to draw them again.

After drawing several leaves she took watercolor to add some color.

It would also be great to add study of leaf anatomy by working with Montessori leaf puzzle, but we'll leave this for another time.
